About the role

  • Join our Organizational Development Office (ODO) and help shape meaningful learning experiences that empower employees to grow and succeed.
  • Design engaging training programs for adult learners across instructor-led, virtual, web-based, and self-paced formats.
  • Develop and enhance programs using best practices in instructional design and adult learning.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create high-quality, relevant content.
  • Administer the Learning Management System, including course setup, user support, and reporting.
  • Maintain training data in the LMS and provide technical support for learning platforms.
  • Partner with program offices and maintain current listings of training staff and coordinators.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions using effective adult learning strategies.

Requirements

  • Four years of professional or nonprofessional experience in instruction, instructional design, curriculum development, adult education, performance improvement, or organizational or staff development.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for four years of the required experience.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and applications.
  • Knowledge of industry concepts and practices relating to adult learning theories and instructional design.
  • Knowledge of principles of effective design for in-person and virtual training projects.
  • Knowledge of surveying to research and gather actionable data.
  • Skill in using Microsoft SharePoint and Teams; Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and specialized design software (Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, etc.).
  • Skill in designing and developing curriculum.
  • Skill in managing self and taking pride to provide exceptional customer service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity.
  • Skill in working in a dynamic environment that requires critical thinking and strong analytical skills.
  • Skill in effective communication; both verbal and written.
  • Skill in producing and organizing supporting materials.
  • Skill in researching, compiling, analyzing, and reporting on data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
  • Ability to translate technical information into content understood by a general audience.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete complex work assignments.
  • Ability to think creatively and offer innovative solutions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changing environments and work processes.
