About the role
- Responsible for providing management, motivation, direction, and coordination for members within their section
- Supervises the Data Collection Section including Criminal Justice Data Transparency, Summary Reporting System, and Florida Incident-Based Reporting System
- Makes recommendations to resolve issues and problems within the section
- Provides research and analysis of laws, rules, and regulations impacting criminal justice information programs
- Plans and implements new programs related to criminal justice information and assists with strategic planning for the bureau
Requirements
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis
- Knowledge of basic management principles and practices
- Ability to supervise people
- Ability to organize data into logical formats for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials
- Ability to utilize problem solving techniques
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
