About the role
- Coordinate activities of assigned security staff.
- Act as the liaison to outside law enforcement.
- Serve as the Investigator to all in-house incidents.
- Oversee all transports conducted in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Process all new resident intake and provide administrative support to the Security department.
- Ensure the confiscation, issuance and searches of resident property is conducted in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Provide administrative support services for DDDP/Pathways staff as it relates to Security services.
- Expectation to be available 24/7 to both DDDP and Pathways, including responding to phone calls and appearing onsite after hours, on weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be a high school graduate or its "equivalent".
- Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement.
- Have processed fingerprints on file with the employing agency.
- Have passed a physical examination by a licensed physician.
- Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.
- Have completed a 320-hour basic recruit training course or its equivalent.
- Certified in the agency approved Crisis Prevention and Intervention Program, FDLE/ CJSTC techniques.
- Submit to pre-employment TB screening.
