About the role

  • independently performs audits of taxpayers and businesses in a variety of industries
  • determines tax compliance as it relates to Florida statutes
  • examines and analyzes accounting systems of taxpayers
  • computes tax assessments or refund adjustments
  • prepares detailed reports of audit results
  • independently conducts conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives

Requirements

  • Four years of accounting or auditing experience at a paraprofessional level.
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three accounting courses or two accounting courses and one tax course.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an accounting degree.
