About the role
- Coordinates the School Health Program in Union County
- Implements and supervises all nursing program activities within the school health setting
- Plans and directs school health services and evaluates work performances for staff assigned to the school health program
- Provides classroom education on health-related topics, follow-up via home visits, phone calls, and letters
- Provides nursing services in the school clinic as needed
- Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates all staff assigned to the school health program
- Plans, implements, and directs school-based health screenings
- Ensures follow up for children needing further medical services
- Plans and directs school-based immunization clinics
- Develops and implements school health plans to ensure compliance with state and county regulations.
- Participates with the school direct on Health Advisory Team.
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Experience working in pediatrics or school health.
