About the role
- Work involves collection, analysis, and presentation of data related to criminal activity investigated by agency personnel.
- Initiate research projects related to sophisticated or complex criminal activity to determine structure, scope of operations, capabilities, and weaknesses of the criminal suspect or organization.
- Review, monitor, and research crime reports to identify activities, patterns, and techniques used to facilitate and conduct illegal gambling.
- Use intelligence resources to establish connections between criminal activity and persons or organizations.
- Create products related to Commission enforcement activity, crime reporting topics of interest, and other needs as identified by supervisors.
- Maintain regular contact with local, state, and federal criminal justice agencies for gathering and organizing information on current and developing criminal activity.
Requirements
- Four years (4) of law enforcement analytical experience as described above.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- Any combination of education or experience, as described above.
- Note: 30 semester hours, or equivalent, of coursework from an accredited college or university is equivalent to one year of experience.
