About the role
- This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities.
- This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees’ work.
- The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action.
- The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets.
- Exercises Practice Management supervision over nursing support and clinical personnel for the Family Planning, STD, HIV, Refugee Health programs, the Laboratory, and Front Desk.
- Responsible for daily clinic operations and supervisory duties which include monitoring of clinical processes and flow through the use of Q-Flow and HMS, and productivity to ensure effective functioning and compliance with practice standards and quality measures.
- Participates in ongoing development of clinic programs including nurse and support staff orientation, recruitment and retention of staff, performance evaluations, and other HR actions as appropriate.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license for the State of Florida or a multistate license which includes Florida
- At least 2 years of Practice Management Experience
- At least 5 years as a Registered Nurse
- Willing to perform emergency duty during disasters before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours
- Willing to physically come into the office daily and perform field work
