About the role
- Administers exceptional customer service by providing application intake for individuals and agencies licensed under Chapter 493, Florida Statutes
- Maintains the appointment calendar
- Examination and analysis of application and supporting documentation to verify completion
- Issues and prints renewal licenses
- Performs appropriate data entry to maintain records and statistics using a complex interactive computer database
- Responds to applicant and licensee inquiries regarding statutory and procedural eligibility requirements for applications and renewals
- Assists hearing officers in conducting informal hearings
Requirements
- A high school diploma or its equivalent
- Two (2) years of secretarial or clerical experience
- Administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations, or investigations
- College education can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals two (2) years can substitute for the above requirements
