About the role

  • Coordinate the youth prevention component, Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT)
  • Plan youth meetings, recruiting and retaining youth in the SWAT organization
  • Develop educational materials, including PowerPoint presentations
  • Facilitate workshops to inform and engage students about the dangers of tobacco use
  • Collaborate with students to form, support, and maintain SWAT teams in various schools
  • Organize and execute participation in events, campaigns, and activities focused on tobacco prevention awareness and advocacy
  • Stay updated on current tobacco prevention research, trends, and best practices

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma/equivalent
  • Experience working with youth planning and organizing prevention activities/programs such as but not limited to: SWAT
  • Experience with public speaking and/or presentations
