About the role
- The Government Analyst I is responsible for support to the Operations and Management Consultant II / Education Coordinator of the Division of Real Estate and as such provides services to the FREC & FREAB boards, Division of Real Estate, and the Department.
- The incumbent is responsible for managing confidential documents.
- The incumbent must be capable of independently performing a variety of highly responsible functions, subject to review by the Executive Director, Division Deputy Director, and Division Director.
- The incumbent is responsible for preparing and reviewing applications for compliance relating to education courses and licensures.
- The incumbent is responsible for importing materials into the imaging database and updating the status in the licensing database.
- Correspond with the public on the outcome of course applications, equivalency reviews, licensing applications, and hardships pursuant to Florida Statutes and Rules.
- Evaluate FREC and FREAB education courses for compliance with Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and Appraisal Qualification Board’s The Real Property Appraiser Qualification Criteria.
- Conduct educational review of applications for licensure, research on applications with identified deficiencies, developing a timeline of findings, and preparing a recommended solution for the Education Coordinator to review.
- Analyze and process general incoming education email, mail, and faxes, providing customer service by responding timely to inquiries from emails, telephone calls, and walk-in visitors.
- Assist with public records requests, which includes, but is not limited to, monitoring the requests, conducting research, retrieving documents and reviewing the file in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of education agendas.
- Assist the Educational Coordinator with various tasks, special projects, and perform other related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Previous demonstrated professional work experience of one year (1) with planning, research, evaluation and / or administrative work.
- Preference will be given to those candidates with a demonstrated year of experience in relaying and communicating information to the public written, verbally and via emails or official letters.
- Preference will be given to those candidates with a demonstrated year of experience in researching and procedure, statutes, and rules.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply Chapters 475, 455 and 120, Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code 61J1 & 61J2.
