About the role

  • Assist in tracking and reviewing Response’s annual budget, including operating funds, grant-funded projects, and position rate controls.
  • Assist in analyzing current and projected budget expenditures, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Support Response’s annual budget management by assisting in data collection and financial reporting for operating funds and grant-funded projects.
  • Coordinate with the Bureau of Financial Management and the Office of Procurement and Contract Management to assist with procuring goods and services for Response and the SERT.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking purchases, invoicing, and payment close-out activities, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement policies.
  • Perform necessary duties during activations of the SEOC, including working non-traditional hours when needed.
  • Assist with travel coordination, including but not limited to Response’s leadership travel; special projects, and other tasks as assigned by senior staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • A post-secondary degree in finance, accounting, or a related field may be used as an alternative for years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • A minimum of two years’ professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or procurement.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn and navigate division enterprise business systems.
  • Valid driver’s license.
