About the role
- The incumbent works under the supervision of Business Manager II and is responsible for processing Medicaid applications to meet the individual needs of residents.
- Interviews residents, reviews records, and confers with other professionals to assist with financial needs
- Demonstrate strong auditing, investigative, research, and organizational skills, as well as having up-to-date knowledge of the Florida Medicaid program and be able to accurately apply software programs needed to complete investigations and audits
- Process information with HMO or third-party insurance for Medicare and Medicaid
- Assist in filling out applications for insurance
- Maintains resident related databases and clinical records as requested
- Meets all governmental requirements for social service documentation
- Assist in application process for new admissions
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have experience with Medicaid
- Must be fluent in the English language: reading, writing, speaking
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays if needed
- Must have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, & Word)
- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test
