About the role
- Provides nursing care and applies nursing principles and techniques in the care and treatment of patients
- Utilizes the nursing process to assess and identify patient needs
- Performs independent professional public health nursing duties in a generalized public health nursing program
- Interviews, counsels, and teaches clients, patients, and/or parents according to assessed needs
- Completes case management duties in all clinics
- Communicates with respect and understanding in dealing with clients, the public, and other staff members
- Participates in continuing education, in-services, staff meetings, and new employee orientation
Requirements
- Current state Registered Nursing license
- Willing to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency
- Willing to travel to various locations in Brevard County
- At least one or more years RN experience (preferred)
- At least one or more years of Public Health Nursing experience (preferred)
- Experience working in Women’s health and Family Planning (preferred)
- Experience working in Obstetrics/Maternity Care (preferred)
- Experience working with immunizations (preferred)
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing (preferred)
