About the role
- Reviewing and evaluating evidence for prosecution of criminal cases.
- Submitting necessary data and recommendations to Chief Assistant for case intake decisions.
- Advising and assisting investigations and preparation of cases for prosecution.
- Making charging decisions based on all relevant and material factors.
- Preparing and filing charging instruments.
- Representing the State at bond hearings, trial, and post-trial hearings.
Requirements
- Membership in the Florida Bar.
- Five (5) years of criminal trial law experience.
- Preference may be given to applicants with criminal prosecution experience.
