About the role

  • Independently performs complex audits of multiple jurisdiction taxpayers and businesses
  • Examines and analyzes accounting systems of taxpayers
  • Computes tax assessments or refund adjustments
  • Prepares detailed reports of audit results
  • Conducts conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives
  • Assists in the training of other Tax Auditors

Requirements

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue
  • Eighteen months of experience performing sales and use tax audits in the General Tax Administration Program, Audit Process
  • Experience with ACM
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
