About the role

  • The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in Citrus County in its mission to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts.
  • Primary responsibilities of this position will be providing care to prenatal clinic clients, but will include caring for clients seeking Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Immunizations, and Communicable Disease services.
  • Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Patient assessment, Nursing interviews, Planning of patient care, Conducting point of care testing, Implementation of provider orders, Maintain efficient clinic flow, Issuance, administration, and ordering of clinic medications, Evaluation of response to treatment/medications, Education and counselling covering health lifestyle and healthy pregnancy behaviors.

Requirements

  • Minimum - This position requires you to have and maintain a valid/active Florida Registered Nursing License or a multistate license from another Compact State .
  • CPR certification, and valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred Experience working in fast paced inpatient or outpatient environment serving pregnant women.
