About the role
- Be aware of and abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct
- Involves intermediate level engineering technical work in the Permitting and Waste Cleanup Program
- Review, evaluates, and processes engineering permit applications and/or waste cleanup documents
- Applies the principles of good engineering practices and pollution prevention
- Performs engineering site inspections
- Write requests for additional information, if required
- Ensure that the data entry corresponding to all assigned projects is entered into the department's databases and Oculus timely
- Provides technical guidance to consulting engineers and municipal officials
- Initiate waste cleanup enforcement action, if assigned
Requirements
- At least 4 years of verifiable related experience
- Post-secondary degrees may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis
- A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees
- Maintain a valid Driver License
- Required to travel
