About the role
- Responds to phone inquiries.
- Assists with registering new business entities.
- Analyzes and reviews tax situations and returns.
- Determines tax liabilities.
- Collects receivables in person, over the phone, or at the taxpayer’s business location.
- Provides guidance on Florida tax statutes and Department policies and procedures.
- Assists in training and educating the public and Department employees.
Requirements
- Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- One year of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.
- Six months of experience in the post warrant role performing enforcement actions including but not limited to filing tax liens, garnishment, responsible party assessment, transferee liability, or stipulation agreements.
