Reporting to the State Deputy Chief Information Security Officer, the Engineering and Architecture Administrator serves as the State’s senior leader responsible for establishing and advancing Florida’s enterprise technology architecture.
The Administrator guides enterprise agencies in developing and maintaining a cohesive enterprise architecture, technical references, and modernization roadmap aligned with statewide priorities.
This role drives cloud-first strategies, leads enterprise engineering functions, and champions adoption of secure, modern, and interoperable technologies supporting cybersecurity, data management, artificial intelligence, and statewide data exchange.
This Select Exempt Service management position oversees two programs, providing leadership, coordination, and strategic direction across multi-agency initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
8+ years of progressively responsible IT experience in enterprise architecture, engineering, or modernization leadership.
3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience leading technical teams.
Experience in government, regulated industries, or large enterprise environments preferred.
