About the role
- Provide consultant services to ensure compliance with agency policies
- Work closely with the Uniform Crime Reporting section
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Act as a liaison with internal and external customers
- Maintain National Crime Information Center/Florida Crime Information Center (NCIC/FCIC) certification
- Conduct research to prepare plans and recommendations for Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Strategic Plan.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques
- Ability to operate computers and other office equipment
- Ability to work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating work assignments
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external partners
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret law enforcement data.
