About the role
- Responsible for regulatory oversight of all laws, rules and regulations for Driver Education Licensing Assistance (DELAP) and the Florida Rider Training Program (FRTP)
- Responsible for the administrative tasks associated with the FRTP
- Serve as liaisons between the Department, motorcycle safety schools, and DELAP programs
- Responsible for investigations and quality assurance monitoring of the FRTP, and DELAP programs
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to plan, organize and direct program activities
- Skill communicating effectively and efficiently, both orally and in writing
- Knowledge of procedures for operating motor vehicles
- Ability to understand, interpret and apply state and federal motor vehicle laws and Motorcycle Safety Foundation regulations
- Skill in customer service and public relations
- Ability to speak in front of groups and make effective presentations
- Skill in auditing, reviewing, or analyzing data for compliance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data to develop alternative recommendations for the improvement of operational and administrative practices
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and work independently with minimal supervision
