About the role

  • Provides duties at all clinics within Polk County
  • Performs receptionist/clerical duties
  • Registers/Check-In clients in the Health Management System (HMS)
  • Verifies the required eligibilities i.e. financial, insurance, etc.
  • Scans collected client’s information in the HMS and other FDOH-Polk approved Electronic Records
  • Schedules and confirms appointments
  • Completes the program specific Superbills for each client
  • Checks-Out clients and schedules follow up appointments
  • Maintains accurate daily cash drawer
  • Processes and verifies the required eligibilities i.e. financial, insurance, etc. for Family Planning Waiver
  • Communicates with OMCI any concerns or issues as needed

Requirements

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to operate commonly used office equipment such as computers, printers, fax machine, label maker, paper shredder
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of correct grammar usage
  • Knowledge of basic arithmetic
  • Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities
  • Ability to develop and implement office procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to review data for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetical calculations
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to obtain information from FMMIS (Florida Medicaid Management Information System)
