About the role

  • Provide technical expertise on state laws and regulations for workers’ compensation insurance exemptions.
  • Examine exemption applications to determine qualifications.
  • Review, process, and analyze exemption applications.
  • Evaluate eligibility information and notify applicants of deficiencies.
  • Organize and maintain payroll records and enforcement documents.
  • Assist in reviewing employer business and financial records for accuracy.
  • Maintain and provide education on workers’ compensation laws to customers.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding workers’ compensation insurance.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Two (2) years of administrative, clerical or data entry experience.
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Two (2) years of reviewing documents for accuracy preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience evaluating information against standards and analyzing data preferred.
  • The ability to speak and write both Spanish and English preferred.
  • Post-secondary degree preferred.
  • This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
