About the role
- Provide technical expertise on state laws and regulations for workers’ compensation insurance exemptions.
- Examine exemption applications to determine qualifications.
- Review, process, and analyze exemption applications.
- Evaluate eligibility information and notify applicants of deficiencies.
- Organize and maintain payroll records and enforcement documents.
- Assist in reviewing employer business and financial records for accuracy.
- Maintain and provide education on workers’ compensation laws to customers.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person regarding workers’ compensation insurance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Two (2) years of administrative, clerical or data entry experience.
- Two (2) years of customer service experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of reviewing documents for accuracy preferred.
- One (1) year of experience evaluating information against standards and analyzing data preferred.
- The ability to speak and write both Spanish and English preferred.
- Post-secondary degree preferred.
- This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
