About the role
- Serves as officer in charge of a designated area on assigned shifts.
- Disseminates performance related information to the Shift Supervisor(s).
- Provides intermediate guidance for Institutional Security Specialists.
- Performs required duties relating to the planning and operations of the designated shift in the absence of the Shift Supervisor.
- Works at a secure facility providing rehabilitative and vocational training to individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be a high school graduate or its "equivalent".
- Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement.
- Have his/her processed fingerprints on file with the employing agency.
- Have passed a physical examination by a licensed physician.
- Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.
- Have completed a 320-hour basic recruit training course or its equivalent.
