About the role
- Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network
- Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links
- Analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion
- Provide end-user training where required
- Collaborate on network design and capacity planning
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices
- Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards
- Co-manage servers, including e-mail, print, and backup servers
- Co-manage security solutions
- Ensure network connectivity of all workstations
- Perform server and security audits
Requirements
- Graduation from a two-year college, trade school or certifications with data processing related course work
- Four (4) years of network experience
- Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and Linux
- Extensive application support experience with Microsoft applications and enterprise administrative tools
- Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including ITIL, NIST, and CJIS
- Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
- Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
- Solid understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Knowledge of the CJIS Security Policy, data privacy practices, and laws
