About the role
- Officers will provide and ensure the safety and security of the residents and staff.
- Monitoring the ingress and egress of people, vehicles, and objects within the secure area.
- Conduct pat-down searches and observe Forensic residents to deter inappropriate actions.
- Routinely conduct mobile patrols of the institutional campus and surrounding areas.
- Walking patrols throughout the buildings and grounds of the campus.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a citizen of the United States.
- Be a high school graduate or its "equivalent".
- Not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement.
- Have his/her processed fingerprints on file with the employing agency.
- Have passed a physical examination by a licensed physician.
- Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.
- Have completed a 320-hour basic recruit training course or its equivalent as established by the Commission.
