• Oversees the pharmacy inspection program for the Investigative Services Unit
• Coordinates routine and complex medical quality assurance inspections and investigations relating to alleged violations of practice acts/rules under the jurisdiction of the Department
• Communicates with, motivates, trains, and evaluates employees
• Plans and directs employees' work
• Develops performance expectations and meets with staff regularly to discuss performance
• Coordinates activities of staff to conduct pharmacy inspections
• Provides guidance regarding investigations related to sterile compounding pharmacies
• Manages operational activities for the non-sterile pharmacy inspections
• Resolves operational and policy issues and monitors compliance with rules and regulations
• Assists with budget as it relates to the sterile compounding pharmacy inspection program
