About the role
- This position serves as an OPS Health Support Technician on the School Based Sealant Program.
- Provides professional support and technical assistance to staff, community agencies and the general public.
- Assigned to the School Based Sealant Program assisting the dental hygienists while they provide oral health education and preventative dental services for students in Volusia County schools, daycares, and summer programs.
- Requires travel between these work sites.
- Provides education to community agencies and the public through community events and health fairs in accordance with the mission and vision of the dental program and the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County.
Requirements
- Must have experience working with children
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have time management skills and the ability to work independently
- Computer knowledge (Outlook, HMS) (Preferred)
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English (Preferred)
- Certified Dental Assistant (preferred, not required)
