About the role
- Provides public health nursing services for clients in FDOH -Lee clinics
- Promotes and maintains health of individuals, families, and the community through appropriate preventative and rehabilitative measures
- Provides comprehensive nursing in all FDOH Lee clinics and community settings as warranted
- Administration of immunizations based on patient’s immunization status, current immunization guidelines, vaccination schedules, and statutory requirements
- Maintains comprehensive quality records in FLSHOTS and the electronic health records system
Requirements
- Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in accordance with Florida Statute 464 or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 210-8.27
- Ability to work in emergency situations, including special needs or Red Cross shelters
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver License and have a motor vehicle to carry out these duties
- Selected immunizations or titers and/or periodic screening for tuberculosis may be recommended for this position
