Regional Sales Executive
STARK Building Materials UKRegional Sales Executive managing and growing a portfolio of accounts in Ripon and surrounding locations. Building strong customer relationships and ensuring orders run smoothly in a collaborative team environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and grow your assigned account portfolio.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of customers to maintain and improve profitability.
- Be proactive, responsive, and visible, including regular site visits and customer check-ins.
- Simplify the customer experience by ensuring close management of all owned accounts.
- Follow up and requote projects as required to meet or exceed agreed revenue, margin, and growth targets across assigned customer base.
- Work closely with branches to ensure customer orders are prioritised, accurate, and aligned to site schedules and specific delivery requirements.
- Provide specification & product data as required.
- Support branches with the on-boarding of new account, ensuring that they start and continue to spend.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements, expanding relationships by continuously proposing solutions that meet the customer’s needs.
- Target dormant and lapsed accounts to reactivate them.
- Build strong supplier relationships & work in partnership to secure & grow customer business. Strong team ethics – put this into a sentence to stress the importance or working as a team with your branches & your peers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience within a sales, account management or customer support role.
- Commercial and pricing awareness of margins, rebates, delivery charges, and credit processes.
- Clear and professional communicator across phone, email, and in-person; able to build relationships with customers at all levels, local branches, suppliers and regional support teams.
- Project coordination, prioritisation and multitasking skills.
- Organisational skills with a bility to manage your own diary.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Experience within builders’ merchant, supplier, or construction-related role is desirable.
