Senior Corporate Counsel – 4 month Fixed-Term Contract
StarComplianceSenior Corporate Counsel responsible for providing legal support during a fixed-term contract for StarCompliance. Key duties include managing complex legal matters and supporting business-critical initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including enterprise SaaS contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and partnership arrangements
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to business stakeholders across Sales, Product, Finance, and Operations
- Support revenue-generating activities while ensuring appropriate legal risk management
- Manage a high volume of contracts and legal requests, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Maintain and improve contract templates, playbooks, and legal processes to enhance efficiency
- Provide support on compliance matters, including data privacy, information security, and regulatory obligations
- Assist with corporate governance, internal policies, and risk management initiatives
- Conduct legal research and provide guidance on relevant legal and regulatory developments
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between legal requirements and business operations
- Liaise with external counsel where required, ensuring effective and cost-efficient support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree; active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- 6-10+ years of post-qualification experience, including in-house experience in SaaS, RegTech, or a regulated technology environment
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex legal matters and support business priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
