Analyze transportation and logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings
Execute daily shipment planning and execution of tasks aligned with the operational workflow and service expectations of the role
Collaborate with carriers, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
Participate in a rotational weekend on-call schedule to support transportation operations and ensure business continuity
Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on shipment or vendor issues
Support cross-functional projects to enhance company performance
Lead initiatives to optimize routing, mode selection, and carrier performance
Support strategic planning, including network design, freight forecasting, and budget development
Manage freight payment and manual invoice processes
Analyze carrier and vendor performance to identify service gaps and recommend improvements
Report on key performance indicators (daily, weekly, monthly)
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data from vendors and third-party providers
Deliver ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support KPI improvement initiatives
Provide support for transportation carrier selections from annual RFPs and mini-bids
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across transportation operations
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership with actionable insights and recommendations
Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

Requirements

1-3 years of experience in transportation analysis, logistics, distribution or supply chain operations
A team-oriented, collaborative approach
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Incorta, SQL, Tableau)
Knowledge of freight modes (LTL, FTL, intermodal, parcel) and carrier management
Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional projects
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Analytics or a related field (preferred)
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle)
Experience in a high-volume, multi-modal transportation environment
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies
Project management of small- and medium-scale technical and change management initiatives
Certification in transportation or supply chain (e.g., CTL, APICS, PMP) (preferred)
