About the role
- Support, develop, and enhance processes for accurate and timely payroll payment
- Resolve complex payroll issues and maintain compliance with established controls
- Provide training to team members
- Champion best practices and drive advancements to optimize payroll operations
- Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiencies through audits and reconciliations
- Develop training/communication to deploy process improvements
- Support management in accomplishing payroll processing objectives
- Assist with mentoring and training of payroll analysts and associates
Requirements
- Multi-state/Provincial full cycle payroll processing experience
- Strong analytical and technical skills with attention to detail
- Foundational understanding of payroll including garnishments, bonus payments, special payments, and payroll taxes for US (required) and Canada (preferred)
- Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations
- Strong customer skills with consistent follow-through
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach peers and other partners
