About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Translate analytical findings into easy-to-understand and actionable business information for colleagues and partners.
  • Conduct analysis on actual and forecasted impact of pricing requests and make recommendations to the business to maintain market competitiveness considering profitability and growth rates.
  • Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives.
  • Work closely with pricing colleagues to collaborate on achieving team and company initiatives and goals. Build partnerships with colleagues across Staples.
  • Develop business strategies and reports that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Staples in the face of business transformation that improve selling profits and shape demand.
  • Support pricing activities for public sector and government‑aligned accounts, ensuring alignment with established contractual terms and internal controls.
  • Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to support pricing processes and ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to applicable regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and analysis of recurring pricing and compliance‑related reporting to support internal governance and business decision‑making.
  • Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, standardization, and scalability within pricing workflows.
  • Support execution of pricing changes and account‑specific pricing actions, including analysis of margin and profitability impacts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
  • 4+ years of previous work experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • 1+ year experience with Excel, Access, Power BI, SQL., etc.
  • Experience optimizing customer segmentation or customer lifecycles.
  • Experience supporting compliance activities aligned to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or comparable regulatory contracting requirements within highly regulated industries.
