About the role

  • Staples is business to business; Supply Chain team focused on customers, community, and employees
  • Responsible for leading initiatives that significantly impact the entire supply chain operation
  • Execute and drive demand planning and fulfillment strategy and Supply chain best practices for B2B and B2C businesses
  • Identify opportunities, develop, and implement new processes to optimize inventory and product flow
  • Partner with channels to build collaborative planning, forecasting and fulfillment processes
  • Manage and review channel inventory KPI’s and highlight inventory management opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement in demand forecasts and evaluate predictive models
  • Support shift from fixed order point replenishment to demand driven fulfillment
  • Identify inventory opportunities between sales channels and collaborate with Merchant teams to resolve
  • Review promotional lifts and impact of sales and marketing on the supply chain
  • Partner with vendors on purchase orders and KPI’s to ensure merchandise flow
  • Collaborate on load-in and maintain forecasts for added items created by Category Specialist
  • Advance analytical capabilities to become a data driven organization and improve financial results

Requirements

  • Track record of implementing innovative supply chain solutions that have a significant impact on business outcomes
  • Solid understanding of business dynamics and political sensitivities within the supply chain
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support transformation to a data driven organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all areas of supply chain operations
  • Experience in Big Data Analytics and extracting information from the data lake
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and innovative thinking
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • Experience with business intelligence/decision support software
  • Experience in JDA software
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI), SQL and VBA
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field
  • Preferred: Project management certifications (e.g., PMP)
  • Preferred: Advanced specialization in logistics, procurement, or inventory management
  • Preferred: Quantitative post-secondary education focused on retail management, economics, inventory, or supply chain (asset)
