About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects as part of a larger project team.
  • Conduct interpretations of drawings, codes, and similar materials.
  • Perform Revit and/or AutoCAD design for mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
  • Collaborate with architectural, interior and other engineering disciplines in project coordination.
  • Conduct field work and provide observation reports.
  • Perform calculations to design mechanical system components using standard software.
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
  • Gather data to support design decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology or Applied Technology is preferred
  • 4+ years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of experience & education.
  • Industry-specific co-op/Internship experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a clean MVR
  • Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
  • Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with Newforma, Trane Trace & IES.
