About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects as part of a larger project team.
Conduct interpretations of drawings, codes, and similar materials.
Perform Revit and/or AutoCAD design for mechanical and plumbing disciplines.
Collaborate with architectural, interior and other engineering disciplines in project coordination.
Conduct field work and provide observation reports.
Perform calculations to design mechanical system components using standard software.
Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity.
Gather data to support design decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering Technology or Applied Technology is preferred
4+ years related professional experience; or equivalent combination of experience & education.
Industry-specific co-op/Internship experience preferred.
Must have a valid drivers license and a clean MVR
Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCad, and the use of it as a drafting/design tool.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building program and other similar material.
Ability to take direction, follow process and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD; Prefer experience with Newforma, Trane Trace & IES.
