About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead work on medium and large projects
Manage and grow a team of Structural Engineers
Evaluate, select, and specify engineered systems or products for projects
Proactively represent the firm and pursue opportunities for new business
Develop and deliver client presentations
Assist with the development of design standards
Hire top tier talent and mentor existing staff
Participate in the development of business plans
Attend and/or participate in events for leadership visibility
Act as QC reviewer on projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

15+ years of related experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required, Master’s degree preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) and Structural Engineering (SE) license is required
Requisite knowledge and application of structural design codes, standards, and applicable building codes
Strong knowledge of structural systems, seismic and wind design, construction means and methods, materials, and industry standards
Deep understanding and working knowledge of steel framing, concrete framing, and wood framing systems
Ability to communicate ideas to Architects, Engineers, and Owner clients effectively
Ability to check work of others for accuracy and completeness
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team settings
Experience with modeling software (Autodesk Revit)
Experience with industry standard Structural Engineering software (CSI, RISA, RAM, etc.)
Experience with Big Room meetings and HCAI design experience
