About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists in the planning, organization, and directing of work throughout the project life cycle
Engages in the development of designs through various visual formats
Utilizes BIM technologies to develop three-dimensional models of buildings
Participates in design critiques and pin-ups
Interprets and applies building codes
Prepares and revises documentation in various architectural phases
Participates in bidding and negotiation phases and prepares addenda
Reviews shop drawings and submittals, responds to RFIs
Leads project coordination and meetings with internal and external parties
Participates in client project requirement meetings and value analysis
Assists in the preparation of the project specifications
Conducts quality assurance and quality control on projects

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in Architecture or bachelor’s degree in support of licensure criteria
Registered Architect in CA
Minimum of 10 years of experience
Passionate about design
Requisite knowledge and application of accessibility codes, applicable building codes
Detailed understanding of all phases of architectural document production
General knowledge of building construction systems, materials, and industry standards
Ability to conduct space planning, block planning and adjacencies in coordination with building program
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, Newforma, Sefaira, and Bluebeam
