About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with the delivery of electrical transmission line routing and substation siting projects
- Participate as a writer and technical support person for routing and siting
- Assist with writing proposals, developing plans, and implementing project steps to move toward closure in a cost-effective manner
- Complete tasks according to approved scopes of work
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and pre-qualifications
- Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or higher in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field
- 5 years of industry experience desired
- Demonstrated experience with routing and siting projects, NEPA documents, or similar environmental assessment, planning and documentation
- Capable and confident technical writer
- Understanding of Geographic Information System (GIS) processes and capabilities (prior GIS expertise desirable, but current GIS expertise is not required)
- Understanding of permitting and compliance for energy infrastructure is desirable, but not required
- Skilled in communications and technical information exchange with a variety of audiences
- Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
- Experience in routing & siting, NEPA document development, or other relevant natural resources work such as transmission line permitting
