About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with the delivery of electrical transmission line routing and substation siting projects
Participate as a writer and technical support person for routing and siting
Assist with writing proposals, developing plans, and implementing project steps to move toward closure in a cost-effective manner
Complete tasks according to approved scopes of work
Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and pre-qualifications
Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or higher in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field
5 years of industry experience desired
Demonstrated experience with routing and siting projects, NEPA documents, or similar environmental assessment, planning and documentation
Capable and confident technical writer
Understanding of Geographic Information System (GIS) processes and capabilities (prior GIS expertise desirable, but current GIS expertise is not required)
Understanding of permitting and compliance for energy infrastructure is desirable, but not required
Skilled in communications and technical information exchange with a variety of audiences
Good driving record and valid driver’s license required
Experience in routing & siting, NEPA document development, or other relevant natural resources work such as transmission line permitting
