About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and analyze engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and regulations
  • Collaborate with project teams and communicate technical concepts effectively to achieve client expectations and project goals
  • Assist in planning, implementing, and completing projects, ensuring effective application of scope requirements, management of time, quality reviews, and effective communications with team members

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficient use of MicroStation V8i, Open Roads
  • Ability to use or familiarity with AutoCad is a plus
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience and knowledge of AASHTO and WVDOH and/or VDOT design directives and specifications
  • Experience and knowledge of WVDOH and/or VDOT roadway and right of way deliverables
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
  • Minimum of four (4) years of transportation design experience
  • West Virginia Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 1 year required
