About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Keeps the Project Manager informed of progress on expectations, deadlines, and deliverables that fall within their responsibility
  • Participate in team meetings, charrettes and coordination sessions
  • Assists in monitoring and coordination of consultant work and deadlines
  • Assist project teams in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats
  • Utilize Autodesk Revit and other BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components
  • Prepare and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details
  • Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent
  • Assist in contract administration tasks
  • Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants
  • Implement sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment
  • Assist in site analysis, research of concept, benchmarks, typology, and precedents

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • 3-7 years of experience
  • Capable of simultaneously supporting multiple Project Managers on multiple projects
  • General understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards
  • Comfortable working independently and takes direction well, however, proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction
  • Manages multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Team player with the client, entire project team and contractor
  • Good communicator
  • Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, InDesign and Photoshop; Prefer experience with Enscape, SketchUP, Newforma
