Electrical Engineering Designer – Mission Critical Facilities
StantecElectrical Designer role supporting Stantec's electrical engineering team in mission critical projects. Contributing to technically challenging electrical design solutions for data centers.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Works with a team of technical staff to develop project deliverables ranging from design documents to technical reports.
- Applies knowledge of basic engineering concepts, principles, practices, and procedures for electrical design, calculations, analysis, and investigation.
- Coordinates tasks with other teams across the firm and outside consultants.
- Assists project engineer with more advanced technical activities.
- Uses appropriate technology and software (i.e. REVIT and CAD among others) to prepare project deliverables and production tasks assigned by project engineer.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with applicable software (i.e. Revit and AutoCAD, among others) within your own discipline preferred.
- Aptitude and drive to analyze complex problems and convey solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively shift attention between multiple projects.
- Experience and desire to work in an entrepreneurial and innovative environment.
- Possess basic knowledge of engineering practices within own discipline.
- Possess foundational knowledge of core electrical principles such as circuits and power systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with demonstrated progress toward achieving PE in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
