About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects
- Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems
- Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and materials
- Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline
- Work with various engineering disciplines in project coordination
- Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer
- Perform basic calculations to analyze and design building mechanical system components
- Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity
- Assist with data collection to support design decisions
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
- Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and other similar materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to receive directions, follow the process, and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
- Familiarity with various construction delivery processes, such as Design-Build, is a plus.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
