About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects
Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems
Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and materials
Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline
Work with various engineering disciplines in project coordination
Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer
Perform basic calculations to analyze and design building mechanical system components
Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity
Assist with data collection to support design decisions
Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and other similar materials.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to receive directions, follow the process, and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
Familiarity with various construction delivery processes, such as Design-Build, is a plus.
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
