About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with guidance on tasks and smaller projects
  • Develop and optimize mechanical and plumbing components and systems
  • Conduct basic interpretations of drawings, codes, and materials
  • Perform Revit design for the mechanical discipline
  • Work with various engineering disciplines in project coordination
  • Perform field work as directed by a senior engineer/designer
  • Perform basic calculations to analyze and design building mechanical system components
  • Assist with engineering duties on projects of various complexity
  • Assist with data collection to support design decisions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training certification preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts
  • Basic understanding of Revit and AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, building programs, and other similar materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to receive directions, follow the process, and accept feedback and suggestions from Senior Engineers
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
  • Familiarity with various construction delivery processes, such as Design-Build, is a plus.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record
