About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a team of design professionals and technicians
- Mentor and supervise staff and develop high-performing project teams
- Perform business development/application tasks and collaborate with staff to increase project wins and develop long-lasting client relationships
- Assist senior engineers/designers with developing and managing the project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule
- Perform complex engineering design tasks on assigned wastewater-related projects
- Develop project management plans for projects; establish goals and objectives for unique and complex projects
- Conduct and/or coordinate quality assurance and quality control on assigned projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Environmental, Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of project management experience in a consulting environment, with a focus on conveyance and water infrastructure design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
- Experience and expertise with the design of conveyance projects in urbanized, congested areas.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings.
- Understanding of local and regional jurisdictional codes, legal and design requirements.
- Experience with the design of water, sewer, and drainage infrastructure 24-inches in diameter and larger.
