About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will be an integral part of our hydrology and hydraulics team and will participate in:
- conducting hydrological and hydraulic analyses;
- performing 1D and 2D hydraulic simulations;
- designing hydraulic structures such as bridges, culverts, spillways, and other related works;
- preparing hydrological and hydraulic study reports and various documents such as advisories, memos, and technical reports;
- identifying innovative solutions to address specific challenges;
- preparing plans and specifications;
- conducting site visits and fieldwork.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent;
- Master's degree in hydrology and hydraulics (an asset);
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or in the process of obtaining membership;
- Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic simulation software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS (MIKE 21 is an asset);
- Knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD;
- Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines;
- Knowledge of dam safety (an asset);
- Valid driver's licence.
