About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You will be an integral part of our hydrology and hydraulics team and will participate in:
  • conducting hydrological and hydraulic analyses;
  • performing 1D and 2D hydraulic simulations;
  • designing hydraulic structures such as bridges, culverts, spillways, and other related works;
  • preparing hydrological and hydraulic study reports and various documents such as advisories, memos, and technical reports;
  • identifying innovative solutions to address specific challenges;
  • preparing plans and specifications;
  • conducting site visits and fieldwork.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent;
  • Master's degree in hydrology and hydraulics (an asset);
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or in the process of obtaining membership;
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic simulation software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS (MIKE 21 is an asset);
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD;
  • Ability to work in a team and meet tight deadlines;
  • Knowledge of dam safety (an asset);
  • Valid driver's licence.
