About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and size ventilation, heating, plumbing and process systems tailored to industrial environments (factories, processing centers, warehouses, etc.);
- Prepare drawings, specifications and technical calculations according to the specific needs of industrial processes;
- Draft and approve technical reports and design studies;
- Conduct on-site surveys in existing industrial facilities;
- Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to fully understand operational and technical constraints;
- Participate in project planning and coordination;
- Provide expertise in optimizing mechanical and energy systems;
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and requirements specific to industrial environments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in building mechanical systems, ideally in an industrial context;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Experience designing for heavy industrial environments (strong asset);
- ASP Construction card (asset);
- Familiarity with Revit, BIM and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong command of French, both written and spoken;
- Knowledge of English (asset) to collaborate with teams or clients outside Quebec;
- Motivated by challenges and solution-seeking.
