About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision
Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines
Prepares project deliverables under the direction of the Senior Consultant and per the client’s intent and scope of work
Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer
Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth
Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget
Gives input or creates plans to complete tasks within the project timeline and budget
Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews returned work as necessary
Identifies and reports potential roadblocks that may inhibit the ability to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget

Requirements

What you’ll need

Possesses knowledge of ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling
Basic knowledge of practices and principles of other disciplines as they relate to ICT design
Understands customer owned outside plant pathway design
Basic understanding of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) best practices
Background experience and knowledge of Data Center Facilities is preferred
Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, and government regulations
Proficient in CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit
Good communicator and active learner
Effective organization and time management skills
Experience with ICT design within Mission Critical Facilities is preferred
Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required
Minimum 3-5 years related industry experience preferred
