About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision
- Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines
- Prepares project deliverables under the direction of the Senior Consultant and per the client’s intent and scope of work
- Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer
- Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth
- Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget
- Gives input or creates plans to complete tasks within the project timeline and budget
- Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews returned work as necessary
- Identifies and reports potential roadblocks that may inhibit the ability to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- Possesses knowledge of ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling
- Basic knowledge of practices and principles of other disciplines as they relate to ICT design
- Understands customer owned outside plant pathway design
- Basic understanding of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards and Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) best practices
- Background experience and knowledge of Data Center Facilities is preferred
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, specifications, and government regulations
- Proficient in CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit
- Good communicator and active learner
- Effective organization and time management skills
- Experience with ICT design within Mission Critical Facilities is preferred
- Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 3-5 years related industry experience preferred
