About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in defining project scopes and drafting service proposals;
- Act as project manager and/or discipline lead for projects of varying sizes;
- Produce electrical drawings (single-line, logic, AC and DC) and prepare equipment specifications, and fabrication and installation quotes;
- Supervise the preparation of wiring diagrams and connection drawings, cable lists and bills of materials;
- Perform technical studies and produce documents such as calculation notes, specifications and reports;
- Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects;
- Establish and maintain relationships with our clients;
- Travel to project sites as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years' experience;
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
- Proficiency in protection, control and automation systems for high- and medium-voltage electrical substations;
- Experience in engineering consulting, in hydroelectric power plants and/or on projects with Hydro-Québec or other utilities;
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
- Proficiency in English is required to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients;
- Experience with short-circuit and arc flash calculations and performing protection coordination studies;
- Experience performing grounding (earthing) studies (an asset);
- Knowledge of relay configuration (an asset);
- Commissioning experience (an asset);
- ASP Construction card (construction site health and safety).
