About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in defining project scopes and drafting service proposals;
  • Act as project manager and/or discipline lead for projects of varying sizes;
  • Produce electrical drawings (single-line, logic, AC and DC) and prepare equipment specifications, and fabrication and installation quotes;
  • Supervise the preparation of wiring diagrams and connection drawings, cable lists and bills of materials;
  • Perform technical studies and produce documents such as calculation notes, specifications and reports;
  • Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects;
  • Establish and maintain relationships with our clients;
  • Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 7 years' experience;
  • Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • Proficiency in protection, control and automation systems for high- and medium-voltage electrical substations;
  • Experience in engineering consulting, in hydroelectric power plants and/or on projects with Hydro-Québec or other utilities;
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency in English is required to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside Quebec or with clients;
  • Experience with short-circuit and arc flash calculations and performing protection coordination studies;
  • Experience performing grounding (earthing) studies (an asset);
  • Knowledge of relay configuration (an asset);
  • Commissioning experience (an asset);
  • ASP Construction card (construction site health and safety).
