Architectural Draftsperson
StantecArchitectural Draftsperson involved in a variety of small to large scale building projects. Collaborating with teams to prepare technical drawings and deliver high-quality structural designs using various materials.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on multiple projects of small to large scale using various materials.
- Interact with a wide variety of clients from owners, developers, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings for concrete, steel, masonry and wood building structures.
- Prepare and revise documentation at various design phases, including floor plans, diagrams, and details.
- Work with team members in determining viable solutions for design issues.
- Work to and meet project time lines and budgets.
- Coordinate design work with other disciplines, other offices, and other project team members.
- Preparation and review of technical reports.
- Participate in constructability reviews.
- Participate in Stantec’s quality assurance and quality control process.
- Construction administration including site reviews.
- Mentoring, coaching and training of less experienced professionals as required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of a Technologist/Technician degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture from an accredited college required.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in consulting within an architectural/engineering team preferred.
