About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for civil/conveyance infrastructure projects with responsibility for reviewing and sealing of projects
  • Provide engineering support for projects in Dallas and throughout the region, performing a variety of tasks to plan, execute and deliver the completed project
  • Conduct alternative analyses (route alignments, pipe size and materials, etc.) to support business case evaluations for project decisions
  • Apply industry standards (ASTM, AWWA, ACPA, etc.) as well as client standards and requirements
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers
  • Serve as the Project's point of contact with clients, agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements and approvals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil, Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5 - 10 years of professional experience in water / wastewater conveyance design and construction projects
  • Texas Professional Engineering (PE) License required within 6 months of hire
  • Experienced in the design large diameter steel, concrete, plastic, and fiberglass pipe for water, wastewater and storm water pipelines and related appurtenances
  • Experienced in the design of wastewater lift stations and potable water reservoirs and pump stations preferred
  • Experienced with the use of AutoCAD Civil3D.
